Do you ever take a minute to stop and reflect?
The more ladies I speak to, the more I realise that we're all flying by the seat of our pants.
Jamie always says this to me.
I can be such a last minute larry!
Everybody seems to lead such busy lives these days.
As I've said before, it's like we're running a rat race.
Work, kids, food shopping, cleaning, cooking, trying to keep fit and healthy.
However, reflection is so important.
Taking even 5 minutes out of your day to step back and do the following can be really beneficial:
Think about :
Where you are,
What you're doing,
How you're feeling
It sounds a bit crazy but deep breaths can be very calming.
It brings serenity and calmness.
I'm actually doing them right now.
In for 5, out for 5.
On a Friday, I like to try and see if I've achieved
my 3 goals for the week which I set on a Sunday evening.
I'm guilty of making huge long lists of things
to get through in the week. I never achieve these
and it leads to feelings of stress and overwhelm.
The realisation that 3 small 'must do' goals is more
achievable than a massive long list that I'll never get through
has really made a difference to my mindset.
This can apply to your health and weight loss goals too.
Setting unattainable goals just leads to failure.
Think short, medium and long term.
So, if you want to lose a stone, set yourself a reasonable
time frame and how you're going to go about it.
Set small weekly goals of attending 3 exercise classes
and eating 80% clean.
You can do anything you put your mind to with some good
time frames, structure and support.
Believe in yourself and take time for relaxation.
They are both so important.
