Everybody thinks their must be some magic formula that nobody has told them about.
There must be a magic '5 day cleanse' that will solve it.
Yes a 5 day cleanse may give you a kickstart but what happens after that?
It doesn't change your habits or your lifestyle.
Why do so many people fail to lose weight or struggle to keep it off?
Because when the unrealistic results don't happen straight away, they revert back to old ways.
Are you doing the basics and being consistent with them?
My advice today is...
Go right back to basics and stick to it.
CONSISTENCY is key.
Eat lots of vegetables, a good amount of protein, good fats and carbohydrates and keep hydrated.
Concentrate on rest a much as working out. Make sure you are sleeping well and ALWAYS take time out to chill.
I know that can be easier said than done but if you are tired and stressed, this triggers hormonal responses which can hugely affect your weight loss.
If you're busting a gut trying to be great with your diet and exercise but you're stressed and not sleeping well, it will work against you in a big way. You will have to work twice as hard and you still may not get results.
If you're doing all of the above, try to do the following:
In almost all cases, the basics will work for you.
Try to focus just on drinking enough water, sleeping well, having some relaxation time, eating plenty of veg, getting a balance in your diet and appreciating yourself for who you are.
Very simple.....no crazy juice cleanse.
Self love and a positive mindset is a huge aspect. More about that tomorrow.
